About MUELLER

MUELLER is a strategic design and visual communications studio in Oakland, California that brings brand vitality to clients across the nation. Founder Kyle Mueller originally moved to the bay area to open an office for Ted Mader Associates, an award winning Seattle based design firm. In 1998, MUELLER DESIGN INTERACTIVE was founded. We have since simplified our name, but our core services and pursuit of strategic creative solutions remain the same. And proving that everything does indeed come full circle, Ted Mader joined us as our senior creative consultant in 2003.

Since MUELLER's modest beginnings, we have had the pleasure of working with clients such as Transamerica Investment Management, Macy's, Netgear, Heller Ehrman, Hewlett-Packard, E & J Gallo and the California Teachers Association.

It has been proven time and again that strong brand experiences produce bonds between consumers and companies. Brands with vitality develop an emotional connection with their audiences and leave lasting impressions that drive consumer confidence, loyalty and action. This emotional connection is made when brands engage prospects, present a strong personality, relay key brand information and leave viewers with a positive feeling.

In marketplaces crowded with similar products and services, branding distinguishes one from the others. It matters little if one product is superior over another. If the brand is weak, the perception of the product is weak and consumers will not respond.

Our 3 core services (identity, print and interactive) are crucial elements in any Branding System. When these systems are created strategically, and each vehicle takes advantage of its unique characteristics to promote a brand message, they make up a larger whole than the sum of their parts.

Consistency in message across these vehicles re-enforces a brand's power to communicate even further. Brands that send conflicting messages suffer confusion and indifference from their audiences.

OK, it's a little heavy handed. But how else can a creative studio thrive? MUELLER lives by the maxim that there is always room for improvement. We are constantly looking for new ways to solve problems and we are perpetually open to fresh ideas and perspectives. This is the only way to offer truly creative solutions to our clients.

These fresh ideas must also be rooted in reality, though. Raw creativity alone does not solve problems, so we do our homework. Long before we begin the creative process, we absorb as much information as possible about our subjects, their goals and the environment within which they exist.
