wiebeTECH, developers of external storage devices for personal computers, asked Mdi to redesign their site to boost their brand image to the level of their high-end products. We developed an exciting and consistent brand that has helped WiebeTECH improve their standing in the digital storage market. In additional to introducing new customers to their products, the new user interface has helped drive traffic to wiebeTECH's e-commerce page.
"Mdi helped analyze our site requirements by asking appropriate and thought provoking questions," said wiebeTECH CEO James Wiebe. "They were able to completely redesign the site so that the underlying technology better met our customers needs. Their work provided a completely fresh and usable appearance to the website. As a result, customers don't have to hunt to find information and we look like a world class company."
M2Technologies selected Mdi to develop and define their brand. A start up founded by a member of Heller Ehrman Attorneys, M2 provides consulting to professional service organizations.
Mdi specializes in branding from the ground up and the M2 project provided just that opportunity. The modern adaptation of classic type forms suggest a strong foundation in both the corporate and technology fields. After anchoring the brand design to the business papers we reinforced it across other marketing platforms including Web and marketing collateral. The result: M2 is open for business, looking great and ready to face the world.
Atlas Business Advisors are a mergers and acquisition firm specializing in privately held companies with sales up to $100 million. In need of a defining visual identification for the company, they asked Mdi to create something fresh that stayed away from the cliché imagery commonly associated with the name "Atlas". They now have a very unifying symbol perfectly balanced atop an elegant and clean type treatment.
To help further strengthen their brand, Mdi developed business papers that support and compliment the new ID. Brand new marketing collateral will be coming soon.
Being the largest window manufacturer in the Western United States means your brand has to reach a very diverse audience. Architects, building professionals, dealers, and consumers are all a part of this group and they each look at windows from a different point of view.
Our challenge was to create a strong brand image for Milgard to communicate the technical product to the builder, the inspiration to the home owner, and everything else in between. Mdi accomplished this by using a combination of clean design, a strong message, and vibrant images in Milgard's marketing materials. These included product brochures, trade advertising, in-store literature and promotional materials.
The outcome is a strong brand that is easy to adapt to print and digital applications and helps sell everything from aluminum to wood windows to all of Milgard's existing and future customers.
Hands On SF, a Bay Area volunteer placement organization, has extended their working relationshop with Mdi. After the success of the 2003 "Hands On Day" campaign developed by Mdi, the organization has chosen our studio for a number of projects including corporate identity development, promotional and event materials.
Mdi is moving into larger studio space to better serve our clients. Keep an eye out for the next edition of the ENGINE for a sneak peek.
